We Build Systems That Actually Work

Started in 2018 because spreadsheets weren't cutting it anymore

SuperNexora came from watching too many businesses drown in receipts and manual expense tracking. We got tired of seeing finance teams spend hours on tasks that shouldn't take more than minutes. So we built something better.

The Problem Was Everywhere

Back in 2018, I was consulting for a manufacturing company in Taoyuan. Their finance team had three people doing nothing but processing expense reports. Every day. Piles of receipts, endless email chains, approval delays that made everyone frustrated.

The crazy part? They weren't unusual. Every business I talked to had the same headache. Different industries, different sizes, same problem.

Most expense management tools back then were either too complex or too simple. Companies needed something that could handle Taiwan's specific tax requirements and receipt formats without requiring a manual to operate.

We started with one question: what if expense management just worked without anyone having to think about it? Turns out, that's harder than it sounds. But worth figuring out.

What Guides Our Work

These aren't just words we put on a wall. They're what we come back to when making decisions about what to build and how to build it.

Build What Works

We don't add features because they sound impressive. Every part of our platform needs to solve a real problem that businesses actually have. If it doesn't make someone's workday easier, we don't build it.

Speed Matters

Finance teams are already busy. Our tools need to be fast. Not just "click and wait" fast, but genuinely quick. We measure load times in milliseconds because seconds add up when you're processing hundreds of expenses.

Clear Over Clever

Expense management has enough complexity without us adding more. We design interfaces that make sense the first time someone uses them. No hidden menus, no confusing terminology, no "just read the manual" moments.

Security First

We handle financial data. That means security isn't optional. Every feature gets reviewed for potential vulnerabilities before it ships. We also maintain SOC 2 compliance and conduct quarterly security audits.

Director of Finance Solutions

Petra Viklund

Petra spent twelve years working in corporate finance before joining us in 2019. She knows the pain points because she lived them. Her background includes roles at both local Taiwan companies and multinational corporations, which gives her insight into what different organizations need.

She leads our product development process and works directly with clients to understand their workflow challenges. Most of our major feature improvements come from conversations she's had with finance teams.

Before SuperNexora, Petra worked at Chunghwa Telecom and Delta Electronics, where she managed expense operations for teams across multiple countries.

How We Actually Build Things

Our development process focuses on real-world testing and continuous refinement based on how people actually use our platform

Listen to Real Problems

We spend about 30% of our time talking to finance teams. Not selling, just listening. What takes too long? Where do mistakes happen? What makes people want to throw their computer out the window?

These conversations happen in person at client offices. You learn different things when you watch someone actually use software versus hearing them describe it.

Build Small, Test Fast

We don't spend six months building features in isolation. We create basic versions quickly, then get them in front of users. Sometimes our first attempt misses the mark completely. That's fine. Better to learn that early.

Our development cycles run two weeks. Each cycle produces something testable. This keeps us from building elaborate solutions to problems that don't exist.

Refine Based on Usage

We track how people use every feature. Not in a creepy way, just understanding what works and what doesn't. If 80% of users ignore a feature, we either fix it or remove it.

January 2025 data showed that our receipt scanning feature was slower than it should be. We spent three weeks optimizing it. Now it processes images 3x faster. Small improvements like this matter more than flashy new features.
